TO Contemporary Music Ensemble is a group of musicians who are passionate about performing contemporary music and bringing it to a wider audience. As an off-shoot of the renowned Torbay Symphony Orchestra and under the direction of its conductor Richard Gonski, the ensemble has been created to explore the diverse range of exciting modern music which is rarely performed live in a way that is both inclusive and accessible. The main piece in their Tones Festival concert will be Terry Riley’s seminal work from 1964 ‘In C’.
