Jazzient are a duo featuring Bev Knowlden on saxophones and Peter Shearn on guitars. With influences of Andy Sheppard, Jan Garbarek, Bill Nelson and Robert Fripp, they create original jazzy, ambient and rhythmic soundscapes using looping techniques to orchestrate sometimes complex arrangements. Some pieces are strongly structured and some involve a level of improvisation ranging from partial to total, based on ideas generated by the audience.
“Sumptuous (sumptuous, I tell you) jazzy journeyings” – Matt Harvey (Comedy Poet)
