As part of Totnes Festival 2022 NDP Circus proudly presents…

Devised and directed by Paul Liengaard FYIG will be a 60 minute live theatrical circus installation and performance taking place on and around St Mary’s Church at dusk on Saturday 20th August.

Inspired by the gargoyle characters created for NDP’s 2019 production of Victor Hugo’s Notre Dame de Paris and developed during ‘Creating Notre Dame’ a 2021 theatrical circus course and show. FYIG will be a 60 minute mixed discipline performance using aerial techniques, physical theatre, dance and music to tell a story developed from a series of workshops taking place in Totnes in the run up to the festival also entitled ‘Finding Your Inner Gargoyle.’

Delving deep into the very nature of the wood and stone they are carved from, FYIG will explore this world of demons and fantasy and transform it into a theatrical celebration of somewhere beyond humanity. Using the magnificent St Mary’s Church as set and backdrop, FYIG will transport you to a dark world of fire, fury and fantastical creatures.

This event will be using fire and pyrotechnics.

Suitable for all ages.

This is a free event, no booking is required.

Please note, no flash photography is permitted at this event.
